"Our horse, Diamond, has been off the track for several years and has had two notable issues:  her trot is short and choppy due to very upright shoulders and she has never been able to relax her topline.  Debbie's work with Diamond resulted in significant improvements in both of these areas.

It was near the end of her massage and as my husband and I watched Debbie work, we witnessed something we had never seen before--Diamond tucked her head into her chest and arched her newly relaxed topline like a Halloween cat!  The sight was breathtaking.

Debbie's work also addressed Diamond's functional issues due to her upright shoulders.  The massage gave her access to the muscle resources that allowed her to improve how she moved.  She was now able to produce a longer, more balanced stride in all three gaits.

After her treatment, Diamond was more relaxed when schooling and was able to stretch down into frame.  We were so pleased with the results that my husband wants to take Debbie to Diamond's next event!"   -Phyllis Calloway

"I have owned Carnegie for 3 years.  In the past year, he has had issues with canter leads, becoming soft through his back and neck so he could move forward, and has been very tense.  I tried doing stretches and bending work with him, which helped, but we still had issues with that canter.  I had taken him to the vet and they couldn't find anything wrong.  They suggested to keep working him to build strength.  I still couldn't figure out what to do to help him relax so he could become soft and move forward.  I had Debbie come out and give him a massage to see if there would be any noticeable difference.  He was a little too curious about what she was doing at first, but when she began massaging him on his right side, he responded so well and I could see him starting to relax and almost say "that feels so good".  After the massage, we took him to the ring and did some light longeing with him.  His gait was more elastic and he was willing to go forward.  I couldn't believe it!  He was picking up his leads and maintaining them for longer periods of time and actually was willing to use himself and move forward.  He was more relaxed when I was on him and when he was in his stall.  The massage really helped him in so many ways and I will recommend Debbie's equine massage service to anyone, especially those who have a horse that needs a little something extra."          -Allie Mandley

Equine Client and Job:  Anjara, Three Day Eventer (1 year)
Breed and Age:  Trekhener/Thoroughbred 7 yo

"Anjara responded well to Debbie's whole body massage.  She would emerge balanced, relaxed and ready for work.   This treatment resulted in significant changes in Anjara's dressage and jumping performance."

After Debbie's work with her, Anjara:

  • is comfortably engaging her hindquarters and coming up over her back while stretching her neck longer, creating more powerful, competitive gaits.

  • has, for the first time, shown significant improvements in the jumping phases of the competition.

  • Is now Winning the Dressage portion of the Competition!

I am happy to recommend Debbie's therapeutic massage work to anyone, especially those engaged in highly competitive work."
