ESMT & It's Benefits

Equine Sport Massage Therapy  relieves muscle tension, stiffness and pain.  It also addresses the cause of muscle injury and works
to prevent it and the significantly limiting effects muscle stress, tension and injury can have on your horse's performance and disposition.

The Benefits of Sport Horse Massage (ESMT)

  • Works to balance the entire body.  A Sport Horse Massage is always a whole body massage, (barring unforeseen circumstances).

  • Enhances muscle tone and increases range of motion via tension release at sensitive points in the muscles.

  • Creates a positive effect on the contractual and release process of the muscles.  When tension is released, muscles relax and performance improves.

  • Stimulates the circulatory and lymphatic systems resulting in:

a.)   the reduction of inflammation and swelling in the joints, thereby alleviating pain.

b.)  the increased availability of nutrients from food and supplements allowing your horse to maximize the benefits of these items, e.g., the promotion of healing and release of toxins.

c.)  the improvement of the overall disposition of your horse: A horse freed from muscle stiffness and pain is generally more relaxed and in most cases is more able and willing to perform for you.
